For the past decade the Governor’s Glen staff has participated in the Southern Crescent Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Groups of teams raise money and then spend an evening walking with all funds helping research by The Alzheimer’s Association. Our walking team (The Governor’s Glen Go-Getters) take pride in being one of the biggest supporters of this event. In fact our team has finished as follows each year in the team competition for money raised:
Once again, the 2012 edition of the Southern Crescent Walk to End Alzheimer’s had an excellent turnout. Once again, our walking team raised a substantial amount of money ($10,504). And once again, at the awards dinner on November 8th, our walking team received the 1st place award for the most money raised.
Please plan to join us next year on the 1st Saturday in October for the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. It’s a fun, uplifting occasion and Governor’s Glen would be honored to have you as a member of our walking team.
